Listen to the Kupo.
Unpredictability. Against better self-judgement, you delve deep and reveal all those locked up emotions and thoughts, and come through with a promise made long ago because those upheld principles are part of your nature. The problem comes when the averse outcome you've feared all along proves to be true, and you feel the resignation in doing what you must.
And you shut your eyes. And take a long deep breath that fills your entire being. Let out a sigh carrying a tinge of that cacophony inside. Acknowledge the situation at hand. And start that long process of re-patching the torn-up bits. Then you wait for that much needed soothing breeze that will overwhelm you with whispers to be strong because you must.
Apologies for this melancholic post. Things really have been picking up what with Shaowen's CNY party, Nursing week at Tunku Abdul Jaafar Hospital in Seremban and M107's week long Orientation to occupy oneself with, but like Liverpool's last ditch loss to Manchester United, you just have to gather up the fallen pieces and carry on.
Some random lyrics from 'Honestly' by the 'Cary Brothers' that do not reflect the thoughts within, but attach itself to the mind for its mellow tinge:
Think I’m goin home
I think I’m gettin lost for a while
Tired of getting stoned
And thinkin ‘bout you in the night
So I’ll file away all my dreams
Though I still believe in everything
