Drive

Sticky, slightly sunburnt and exhausted but thoroughly thankful for the memorable events of the weekend. Those are the words that best describe the thoughts and emotions traversing through the mind as I type up this mini-update before that long awaited shower.

Nothing relights that passion for life and living more than an excursion into the wilderness, an adventure if you like in rediscovering yourself, and connecting further with others, feeling a rekindling of the love for nature and hiking, and realising that others share a similar vision of both passion and the ideals of friendship.

Lying on a hammock, taking slow intakes of breath in silent awe of the starry skies above, grateful for wind's gentle caress and allowing the rustling of the trees to sing a hypnotic lullaby. I remember that sensation most. That inner peace.

Pics and more thoughts soon =). For now the desire is to be squeeky clean and comfy.

"Climbing mattered. The danger bathed the world in a halogen glow that caused everything - the sweep of the rock, the orange and yellow lichens, the texture of the clouds - to stand out in brilliant relief. Life thrummed at a higher pitch. The world was made real."
Jon Krakauer
