doing psych now in lochgilphead. population 3k. my flatmate was at the ICU today; its like a normal psychiatric ward just with a greater proportion of nurses (male nurses in particular) to patients; and she was telling me how bizarre the patients were; and that in a low security hospital. Scary to fathom what the high security hospital patients are like. 2 weeks and I know its not a specialty for me; delving into the mind on a daily basis doesn't sound that appealing; and personally I think it requires a lot of mental strength; to bat away negative influences from long term interaction with psych patients. But maybe that just me. You gotta respect those in the field though. Back to dundee tm for the weekend!
