Today

Mervin liked Lecturer Paul Jambunathan's informal and slightly unorthodox way of conducting lectures; swearing, personal experience and emanating coolness included.

Mervin studied 'The Oral Cavity and Pharynx' lecture notes today in the library.

Mervin learned today that the three parts of the pharynx are the nasopharynx, oropharynx and laryngopharynx.

Mervin decided to have dinner at Pak Cik Amir's at Uni instead of indulging in Cadbury's Marble Chocolate at his apartment.

Mervin ordered Nasi Goreng Ikan Masin (Salted fish fried rice) and Telur Dadar (Fried egg).

Mervin paid RM4 for his evening meal.

Mervin got an inch long fish bone lodged in his oropharynx.

Mervin tried to hack persistently in an attempt to cough the bone out.

Mervin drank Syrup Limau Ice and gobbled down Cornetto's Triple Chocolate ice cream in an attempt to force bone downwards.

Mervin eventually agreed to be accompanied to Sunway Hospital's A & E ward by Ho Wai and Tracy.

Mervin saw some nurses, a GP (General Practitioner), sat on a bed for a few minutes, and finally an ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) specialist.

Mervin sat on special chair in ENT specialist's cool device filled room with his mouth open while Doctor removed inch long bone in a minute long process.

Mervin paid RM17 for ENT equipment usage and sitting on bed, RM120 for Emergency Specialist Consultations, RM20 Medical Officer Fees for seeing GP, and RM10 for registration fees which amounted to a total of RM167.

Mervin realised tonight's meal cost him a grand total of RM171 for substandard Nasi Goreng Ikan Masin (Salted fish fried rice) and Telur Dadar (Fried egg).

Mervin realised situation was coincidentally a practical lesson of what was revised today.

Mervin is a goofy clown.

Mervin knows his friends will be highly entertained by the retelling of what happened and video of medical procedure.

Mervin is both equally amused and embarassed.

That is all.
